To Our Valued Customers,
We would like to share a brief update regarding our lab operations.
Our Lab Manager, Rachel, is currently recovering from a serious leg infection. We are grateful that she is improving, but her recovery will take time. Rachel manages every stage of the workflow after film is developed, including scanning, packaging, uploading images to Google Drive, and shipping completed orders. As a result, the lab is currently operating behind schedule, and longer turnaround times should be expected for the time being.
We are continuing to accept new orders and move work through the lab, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through this temporary slowdown. At this time, most film orders should be expected to take approximately two additional weeks beyond our normal turnaround times.
For fresh color C-41 35mm orders of fewer than six rolls, delays are expected to be limited to only a few days. Other film types, including ECN-2 and black-and-white film, may experience delays of several weeks. Our expired film and specialty rescue lab services are currently seeing somewhat shorter delays, as those workflows are handled differently. This includes services such as Seattle Film Works, 127, 126, and C-22 or E-4 developing. Current estimated turnaround times for these services are approximately two to three weeks for Seattle Film Works and four to eight weeks for most other expired and specialty film types.
Your continued support is especially important to our small business during this time, as the lab remains our primary source of income. We remain committed to giving every order the care and attention it deserves, and we are doing everything possible to keep the lab moving while Rachel recovers.
We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support. Please keep Rachel in your thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Andrew
